Hire For Work (HFW) is an open community initiative of Blowtrumpet — the company behind Ravaki. If you are a programmer interested in real-time decisioning, campaign optimisation or demand-side engineering, or an advertiser exploring programmatic buying, HFW connects you with engineers, hiring managers and the ad-tech community.
HFW is not gated behind our hiring needs. It is open to everyone, and the community exists for its members rather than for our headcount.
Why this matters on the demand side
The craft of running campaigns well — targeting, measurement, creative judgement, knowing when a number is lying to you — is learned on the job, and this industry has quietly stopped funding the years in which people learn it. Then it wonders why nobody good is coming through.
HFW is the unglamorous fix: real work, real mentorship, real pay, and hiring that follows from what somebody actually did.
For advertisers and agencies, there are three useful things you can do here. Bring a brief — a real problem with real constraints is the most valuable thing you can give an early-career person, and we will run it with mentorship on our side. Mentor an hour, honestly, about the work. Or post an opening: the community is shared, and openings from partner agencies and brands sit alongside our own.

Campus ambassadors
The campus groups are only as good as the person running them. We are appointing HFW Campus Ambassadors — students who already organise things and people turn up, who know who the good people in their year are, and who will tell us when something is not working.
What you would do. Run your campus group and keep it genuinely verified. Bring HFW onto campus through sessions and project nights. Make sure opportunities reach the people who should see them. Find talent and vouch for it.
What you get. First sight of apprenticeships, fellowships and internships, a direct route into the Sprint Fellowship, scheduled mentorship on your own work, a platform to write and speak, and a certificate and written reference at the end of a completed term. Community recognition runs on keys, points and levels, which are non-financial, carry no monetary value and are not convertible to cash.
An ambassadorship is a community role, not employment. Where we ask for work that is genuinely work, it is paid and agreed in writing first. Open to enrolled students aged 18 and over, at any institution — including campuses with no group yet.
